Quiet PC Micro-HDMI to HDMI 1.5m Cable

A straightforward Micro-HDMI to HDMI cable measuring 1.5m in length.

Features

  1. Supports HDMI High Speed 1.4
  2. HDMI Ethernet Channel
  3. Audio Return Channel
  4. Type A to Type D Connectors
  5. Gold plated pins/connectors

This cable has a Micro HDMI (Type D) connector that was introduced with HDMI v1.4. It keeps the standard 19 pins used in the Type A connector but shrinks it down to 2.8mm x 6.4mm. The Micro connector is to be used on mobile phones and other similar portable devices. The other side of the cable has a standard Type A connector for connecting to TVs, projectors and other devices.

“Akasa Newton S7”

“I purchased an Akasa Newton S7 case for my Intel NUC board. It arrived on time as described. However while this is a great product there are a few things about it I didn’t like. The first thing that caught my attention was that the heat sink is painted over. This will have a negative impact on the thermal performance, as paint does not have the conductivity that aluminum does (a copper block would have been even better). As I proceeded with the build I found that the cables for the front PCB were extremely stiff which meant that quite a bit of pressure was applied to my board where they attached. Also the case was not quite tall enough to accommodate the unyielding cables, meaning that I had difficulty installing in the bottom plate. The front LED also stopped working within a few days. And if you ripped your board from a NUC chassis, forget getting the internal wifi antennas to work inside the case. The supplied thermal pads for the CPU are also not a good idea as thermal grease is substantially better. I actually used some noctua NT-H1. However, all things considered I am happy with the product. My computer is now absolutely silent and the idle and load temps are actually better than they were with active cooling. Hopefully Akasa can fix some of my gripes in future iterations of this product.”
